Founder and director of the laboratory, and a long-standing authority on energy-system planning. Co-developed the Smart Energy Systems framework with Aalborg University, and the H2RES planning tool grew out of his research. Principal investigator on more than 20 EU-funded projects, advising Croatian ministries and the European Commission on energy policy.
