The laboratory has secured competitive research funding continuously since 1996, from the European Framework Programmes to today's Horizon Europe, LIFE and Interreg. The active portfolio covers energy system modelling, offshore wind, district heating, combustion and marine systems.
The laboratory currently manages around 30 active projects. Most of the budget comes through Horizon Europe, alongside LIFE, Interreg and national funding. The figures below show the FSB share of each programme in the active portfolio.
