The specialisation that connects physics to policy. In the third year of the Undergraduate Study in Mechanical Engineering at FSB, you move from core engineering fundamentals into the systems that power a city, thermal power plants, turbomachinery, renewables and the environment around them.
You start where engineering starts, with Thermodynamics and Fluid Flow, and end able to walk through a power plant and understand every system in it. Practicum courses put you in the lab with real equipment early, and a broad elective pool lets your own interests shape the semester. It is the direct route into the graduate programme in Energy Systems.
Introduction to Energy Engineering gives you the whole picture: energy sources, conversions, economics and policy. By semester 6 you are analysing renewable power generation and the environmental impact of energy systems.
